Patch Notes | Flashpoint: Strange New Worlds, Pt 1

By Bek 8 July 2025

Klingons are massing in close proximity to both the Federation and Romulan borders, with reported activity across multiple systems. Systems where Transogen has recently been discovered, I might add.

-La’an Noonien-Singh

Transogen, they call it. Only no one knows where it came from, nor even what it’s truly capable of. But everyone wants a piece of it. Especially the Klingons, which is bad news for peace in the Alpha Quadrant.

The location of this new material is of great concern, sitting uncomfortably between the borders of faction space. It’s a race against time to see who will get there first, with Captain Pike and the USS Enterprise leading the Federation charge, and Chancellor L’Rell personally heading up the Klingon Defense Force.

But the Klingons are proving more elusive than ever. Pike will need his entire crew, and the help of an Independent familiar with this mysterious and now-treacherous sector of space, if he’s to successfully navigate this volatile new flashpoint.

But even if he finds the Klingons, he may just discover that Transogen has brought them more than they bargained for. A new combat prowess, which could not only divide the Klingon Empire, but send the entire galaxy spiraling into all-out war.

“Let him run. We have their Transogen supply line cut off. House Hurak will remember this day as the beginning of their downfall.”

-Captain Pike

Missions

Flashpoint: SNW Part 1 kicks off a new, narrative-driven event arc. Utilizing upgraded invasion tech and chained events, players will be tasked with a series of server-wide objectives to reclaim parts of the galaxy from the grip of the Rebel Klingon faction, House Hurak.

Flashpoint aims to bring a more dynamic, consequence-driven world to STFC—where player actions shape outcomes and unlock exclusive rewards.

Flashpoint is a multi-arc story that will span over the several themes of Star Trek Fleet Command. The first part of this larger narrative takes place in Strange New Worlds Pt.1 and is focused on Transogen: an unstable resource recently discovered in the galaxy with the promise of war behind it.

Core Missions (15):  Level 32+
A new resource, Transogen, appears near Klingon and Federation space. A rogue Klingon faction, House Hurak, seizes it and begins using it to gain unnatural combat strength, fracturing the Empire.

Flashpoint Event Missions | Level 40+
Arriving later in the month, you’ll join forces with Pike, Spock, and L’Rell to push back the Hurak threat through various chapters of Flashpoint Event Missions. Despite major battles and heavy losses—including the death of General Gerrokk—you fail to uncover their secrets. A trap nearly costs you your life, and while a Hurak facility is disrupted, General Sturg escapes, keeping their advantage alive.

To take back territory from House Hurak, servers must band together and compete in a sequence of liberation events.

The Liberate Series is a multi-stage, server-wide initiative that demands coordination and effort from the entire community. Each stage must be completed to unlock the next, and chained events mean organised servers may be able to complete the full sequence ahead of schedule.

Servers that successfully complete the entire Liberate Series will unlock an exclusive event chain—available only to them—with significantly boosted rewards.

Transogen

Transogen is a new and powerful unstable resource that will prove to be beneficial to all who stake a claim. Commanders Ops 35+ will be able to obtain this resource nestled between faction space, and nodes will appear in three rarities: Common, Uncommon, and Rare.

To obtain this resource, players will need to prepare to defend their miners from a variety of hostile attacks, as everyone wants a piece of Transogen for themselves. Every mining node is guarded by revenge hostiles and their strength scales with the rarity of the resource. Mining Transogen is not a passive endeavor; players will need to strategize. Defeating these revenge hostiles will grant additional rewards.

  • Revenge Hostiles: Suliban Transports and Runners
  • Flashpoint Invading Entities
  • House Hurak Hostiles (during the Flashpoint series only)
  • Located in Transogenist Space
  • At Transogen Forge Level 45, unlock access to exclusive premium mining systems that avoid Tempest Hazards (details under Transogen Forge section)
  • FKR Jump Drive unlock sourcing available via transogen refining

Systems are used for Flashpoint Invasion Events:

  • Invasions highlight specific systems
  • Tougher hostiles and visuals populate systems mid-event
  • Boss systems serve as event finales or major milestone targets.

Transogen Forge

A hybrid scientific-foundry building on the player’s Station, which can refine raw Transogen in its various rarities into refined Transogen. However, it cannot by default produce the specially refined Transogen that gives House Hurak their telekinetic enhancements.

The Transogen Forge can be unlocked at Ops 30+ via a Day 1 free claim in the Gifts Tab and provides the following buffs:

  • Isolytic Damage
  • Apex Barrier (PvP)
  • Increases the Mining Rate of Common Transogen
  • Increases the Mining Rate of Uncommon Transogen
  • Increases the Mining Rate of Rare Transogen
  • Scrapping Speed

The Transogen Forge unlocks Transogen Premium Systems at various levels:

  • Level 45 unlocks Transogen premium systems with improved mining rates free from Transogen Tempest Hazards
  • New Transogen Exocomp Slot
  • One-time reward bundles:
    • Requires Forge Reward Claim Unlock – Found in the Star Path research tree.
  • Quick navigation to the Transogen Refinery and Star Research Tree

The Transogen Forge can be upgraded with Transogen Forge Foundations, which are found in the Transogen Forge Materials bundle located within the Refinery.
