Patch Notes | Flashpoint: Strange New Worlds, Pt 2

By Bek 5 August 2025

“It’s simple: Starfleet needs more Transogen if we’re going to go toe‑to‑toe with House Hurak. You don’t want to go back to prison. You also happen to captain one of the best mining ships in the galaxy.” — Captain Pike

An old foe has slipped his chains. House Hurak’s Transogen‑enhanced warriors are striking deep into Federation space, threatening those the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise hold most dear. To save the galaxy, Captain Pike and Chancellor L’Rell must unite every Independent who values peace—including you.

Yet questions remain:

  • Where did Transogen originate?
  • How did Hurak refine it into a physical enhancement that grants telekinetic power?

Can the Federation‑Klingon task force harness that same power to level the playing field?

Watch the full patch notes here.

Serene Squall

The Serene Squall is an Epic G3 Survey Ship (Combat Miner) available at Shipyard level 30 and it can be upgraded through 18 tiers. At Tier 1 it already excels as the galaxy’s premier combat‑miner for Epic Transogen and Epic Suliban chaser hostiles. As you advance the ship, its combat prowess extends to battling Uncommon and Rare Suliban chasers, while also serving as a versatile miner for Common, Uncommon, and Rare Transogen resources. You can collect two Serene Squall blueprints per day by exchanging Uncommon Refined Transogen in the Transogen Refinery.

  • Automated Defenses(Active, available at Tier 1)
    • Grants combat bonuses vs Suliban hostiles while mining
  • Passives
    • Transogen Haul – Greatly increases Raw Epic Transogen mining rate
    • Black Flag – Increases loot from Suliban hostiles in Transogen systems

  3. Profit as the Squall extracts Epic Transogen and fends off attackers simultaneously.

The refinery is your one‑stop shop for converting mined spoils into the resources, parts, and collectibles that power late‑game progression. Costs and payouts automatically scale with your Serene Squall tier, so the deeper you invest, the bigger the haul.
