Continuing our commitment to keeping you informed about upcoming changes, we want to share some updates for the event calendar as we move further into 2026.
To ensure we’re delivering the most compelling and rewarding experiences, we are currently reevaluating our recurring events. Some will be updated, while others will be retired to make room for new events designed with player engagement in mind.
The Final “Chronicles of the Ascendant”
As part of this effort, the run beginning Tuesday, March 24th will be the final run of the Chronicles of the Ascendant series. While CotA is ending, you will still be able to earn new Officer Shards and other high-value rewards through alternative events over the coming months.
Looking Ahead: New Experiences
During this transition, we are prioritizing updates for events that need a “refresh” while introducing different event formats that better reflect how you play today. We will be exploring new event concepts to ensure our calendar remains dynamic and rewarding.
Commanders can expect ongoing variety, including new events alongside updates to long-running features like Infinite Incursions. (Stay tuned for upcoming changes to Infinite Incursions arriving in the coming days).
As we continue to evolve in-game events, we’ll be keeping a close eye on your feedback to ensure these new experiences hit the mark.

What is happening to Chronicles of the Ascendant?
- CotA events are being discontinued following the March 24th run. 2026 is a year for reevaluating recurring events, and players can expect to see a few changes to the usual schedule.
Will there be other events to source new Officer Shards?
- Yes, we will continue to offer new or alternate events that source new Officer Shards.
Will I be able to spend my Ferengi Token rewards from CotA in the Ferengi Store?
- Yes, the Ferengi Store will be open during the final CotA run.
Is this a permanent removal or a temporary pause?
- This is a permanent removal of the Chronicles of the Ascendant event series and there are no current plans to bring it back. We will be experimenting with how we can bring in more dynamic event changes, and encourage players to leave feedback on these changes in our designated Discord channels.
