With Update 90, Alliance Tournaments are getting a major refresh. This includes a large expansion to the Emerald Chain, new Legendary and Heroic Tasks, and meaningful updates to the Tournament Store.
Emerald Chain Expansion
The Emerald Chain is expanding with 30 new milestones, bringing deeper progression and new rewards.
These milestones introduce powerful buffs, additional presets, refinery upgrades, cosmetics, and new unlocks within the Alliance Tournament Store. The Emerald Chain also becomes the exclusive source for new content.
New Emerald Chain Rewards
Jirali – New Epic Officer
- Captain’s Maneuver: Increases the Borg Cube Cutting Beam charge by one
- Officer Ability: Increases Technological Distinctiveness Loot from the Borg Cutting Beam
- Below Deck Ability: Increases your ship’s Repair Speed Cascade. (Repair Speed Cascade is applied after other Ship Repair Speed bonuses and multiplies their total effect.)
Emerald Chain Command Helm
- Increases Critical Hit Damage for G5+ FKR ships against Armadas, Outposts, and Outpost Retaliation Hostiles
Note: The Command Helm unlocks in the Alliance Tournament Store at the first Emerald Chain Expansion Tier. Once unlocked, it can be redeemed using Legendary Alliance Tournament Currency.
Emerald Chain Progression Improvements
- Emerald Chain XP rewards are now doubled across all Leagues
- Progression through milestones 1–30 is now faster
These changes help Alliances catch up faster and access new content sooner.
Note: Emerald Chain XP is not a stackable currency. As part of ongoing efforts to ensure a balanced experience, and due to limitations with the current Alliance Emerald Chain scoring system, all Alliances at Rank 30 will have their Emerald Chain XP reset to the 30th Milestone.
Legendary Alliance Tournament Tasks
A new tier of Legendary Tasks is being introduced.
Each Legendary Task rewards:
- New Legendary Alliance Tournament Credits
- Existing Alliance Tournament Credits
- 20,000 Alliance Tournament Points
These tasks offer high-value objectives for Alliances looking to maximize rewards and performance.
Alliance Tournament Store Updates
The Alliance Tournament Store is expanding across all Leagues with a wide range of new rewards.
Some rewards will require the new Legendary Currency, while others will use existing Alliance Tournament Credits.
The cost of Officer Badge redemption will be adjusted, though they will still be purchasable with existing Alliance Tournament Credits, alongside updates to task frequency and changes to the cost of some Heroic Syndicate and Heroic G6 Uncommon Material Tasks.
New Additions Include:
- New Artifact: Gilded Shackle – Increases G7 Ship Upgrade Cost Efficiency
- Forbidden Tech: Including Agony Booth, Quantum Slipstream Drive, and more
- Artifacts: Sisko’s Romulan Ale Glass, Nog’s Cane, Ezri’s Exographic Targeting Sensor, and others
- Refits: U.S.S. Vengeance Liberator and Node-Infected Refit, and Hijacked G6 FKR ship refits.
- Research: New Research options and Prime Particles for combat and efficiency upgrades.
- Officers: Including Section 31 Georgiou, VIL Gul Dukat, VIL Winn Adami, SNW Montgomery Scott, WoK Scotty and many more.
These updates improve accessibility and provide more meaningful rewards at every level of competition.
Alliance Tournament Sigma Reroll Tokens
As previously announced in an earlier Blog post, we will be updating the Alliance Tournaments Refresh Credit (Reroll Token) with the new Alliance Tournament Sigma Reroll Token.
- Refreshing a Task now costs 100 Sigma Reroll Tokens
- Players can earn 800 Sigma Reroll Tokens daily through claims
- If Sigma Reroll Token Balance reaches 4,000 they will not be able to claim additional Sigma Reroll Tokens.
- Reroll Tokens are no longer earned from Tasks
Commanders will be able to exchange existing reroll tokens for Sigma Reroll Tokens in the Alliance Tournament Store.
This update significantly expands Alliance Tournaments with deeper progression, stronger rewards, and new ways to compete.
Commanders can expect a more rewarding and engaging Alliance experience when climbing the Emerald Chain or taking on Legendary Tasks for epic new rewards.
