Update 90.1 Starfleet Academy Part 1 (Mid‑Month) Patch Notes

By Obsidian Hamster 5 May 2026

Below is a detailed list of the improvements and fixes included in Update 90.1 and we appreciate your continued feedback as we evolve the game.

Improvements

  • G3 Station and Research Timers have been reduced by 50%.
  • The Daily Goals “Claim All” button now unlocks when players reach Ops 10 instead of Syndicate Level 27.
  • The Sigma Resource Refinery has been updated to offer higher pull options for the RSS to Sigma RSS exchange. Sigma RSS bundles now include 1x, 10x, and 30x pulls, replacing the previous 1x, 5x, and 10x options.
  • Systems in Academy Space now only feature hostiles whose levels match the system level.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where duplicate odds information was displayed in the Academy Refinery tab for several bundles.
  • Resolved an issue where all Sigma resource bundles (Parsteel, Tritanium, Dilithium) displayed standard (non-Sigma) resource artwork instead of the correct visuals.
  • Added in-game art for the Deidamia character in missions.
  • Resolved an issue where the incorrect number of Simulation Codes was awarded in the “Combat Strategy 101 Part 2” mission. The reward has been updated from 100 to 1,400.
  • Fixed an issue where the timer in Wave Defense systems was incorrectly displayed as “15m 11s” instead of the correct duration of 10 minutes.
  • Resolved an issue where, upon entering a Wave Defense system, planets from the home system were incorrectly displayed. Wave Defense systems now appear without unintended extra objects.
  • Resolved an issue where the Borg Cube’s Cutting Beam ASA behaved incorrectly in Academy Wave Defense. The ability would initially appear greyed out with the correct tooltip, but after defeating hostiles, it became active and displayed an “Invalid State” message when tapped. The Cutting Beam ASA now remains greyed out during Wave Defense and does not charge, correctly indicating that it cannot be used.
  • Addressed an issue in battle reports during station attacks where could display incorrectly. When Player B attacked Player A’s station,  Player A’s report could appear swapped if Player B took damage from the station, while they displayed correctly when Player B dealt damage.
  • Fixed an issue where Shipyard level requirements for scrapping certain ships were not consistent with ship rarities. For example, some uncommon ships like the USS Northcut required Scrapyard level 70 to be scrapped.
  • Addressed an issue where the Level 78 system Fazox had an unintended higher warp range requirement (5,500 instead of 5,000).

Thank you for your continued reports and feedback, they help us prioritize and fix the most impactful issues. More fixes and quality‑of‑life improvements are in progress.
