“Vengeance cuts deep; Transogen cuts deeper.”
War drums thunder from Bajor to the Badlands. Long ago in the Delta Quadrant, the Borg assimilated the Kis’yhn—until one defiant mind sparked an uprising that splintered the Collective. Branded a virus by the Queen, the exiled Kis’yhn rebuilt around Transogen, a volatile element that supercharges Borg-derived tech and enables telepathic domination. Twisted by power, they became the Node, ruled by the Hierarch, who now seeks retribution. As Transogen ignites a cold war among the great powers, Captain Sisko and Deep Space Nine are pulled into a storm that pits Borg against Node—and everyone else in between. Commanders, the front line just moved to your doorstep.

What’s in Update 84 Deep Space 9: Retribution?
- A new feature: Solo Outposts
 - A new building: The Outpost Control Center
 - A new Refinery
 - New Missions
 - New Officers
 - New Chaos Tech
 - And a new Battle Pass

Note: The previously communicated State of the Game with Conor will be arriving later this week to allow players the opportunity to get into this month’s content.
Quality of Life Updates
Bulk XP Upgrades
Bulk XP Upgrades streamline progression with two new features: Bulk Officer XP Upgrades and Bulk Ship XP Upgrades. Commanders can now upgrade multiple XP levels in a single click, saving time and making leveling up your ships and officers easier than ever.
Player Titles (New Cosmetic Type)

More titles will be added over time to celebrate key achievements across the community with acquisition details which will be shared in-game. The first set, launching this month, includes Outpost Adept, Outpost Master, Faction Slayer, Survivor, The Hierarch’s Chosen, The Anti-Node, Apex Ascendant, and Lord of Cakes.
DS9 Retribution – Main & Side Missions

Missions roll out weekly across the arc. Part 2 continues the story next month.
Week 1 (3): Contraband
The Commander is drawn into a high‑stakes op with Quark, a lost Federation ship, and rising tensions between the Borg and a new galactic threat.
Week 2 (3): Front Lines
Join Captain Sisko to investigate Borg activity near Bajor, uncovering deeper conflict tied to Transogen and a mysterious enemy.
Week 3 (3): Enter the Node

Week 4 (3): Conscription
As the Node–Borg war escalates, rally allies with Sisko to resist—though not everything goes to plan.
New Feature: Solo Outposts (51+)

A new frontier opens along the borders of Federation, Klingon, and Romulan space: Solo Outposts. These are not Hostiles or Armadas. Expect a several‑hour, semi‑idle loop with high investment, high reward:
- Conquer an Outpost after a difficult assault.
 - Endure escalating attacks from wave‑based Retaliation Attackers
 - Profit: The longer you hold, the more loot you bank.
 - Empower: While you control an Outpost, activate temporary Outpost Upgrades—powerful, time‑limited buffs.

Rewards From the Outposts Refinery:
- Large injections of Parsteel, Tritanium, Dilithium and their Sigma variants.
 - Significant Refined Crystal/Gas/Ore.
 - U.S.S. Vengeance blueprint sourcing.
 - Exclusive shards for Epic SCT The Hierarch and Epic SCT Nog.
 - Extras like Hijacked Refits, Building Upgrade currencies, Prime Particles, and more.

Note: Solo Outposts will be available for the full monthly duration in November and December. Afterward, they will evolve into a live-operable experience that emerges at different times during a month. Solo Outposts events will not begin until event reset on November 4, 2025.
New Building: Outpost Control Center (Ops 51+)

Solo Outpost gameplay consists of two layers:
