Infinite Incursions March 28th, 2026: Updates, PvP Banding and Server Pairings

By Obsidian Hamster 21 March 2026

Infinite Incursions

Commanders,

Continuing our recent series of event updates, we’re making several key changes to Infinite Incursions for 2026. This is just the beginning of our planned refinements for the year, and we will continue to monitor and adjust the format for future runs based on player feedback.

In line with the refinements shared in our recent blogs, these updates are designed to engage players and ensure a server’s victory is decided by active play and not by a few players who accidentally left their shields down.

To support this further, we are also adjusting the event runtime from 24 hours to a 12-hour window centered around peak regional hours for a more concentrated and competitive experience for everyone.

One of the biggest pieces of feedback we’ve received concerns the power gap in PvP. To address this, we are narrowing the PvP banding to limit how far a higher-Ops player can attack down.

For example, under the previous system, an Ops 65 player could attack an Ops 41. Under the new banding, that same Ops 65 player can only target down to Ops 51.

The new Ops banding applies across the entire game, not just Infinite Incursions, and is intended to make PvP combat more competitive and engaging between players.

The full list of the new PvP banding is included at the bottom of this post.

The Klingon High Council has grown restless in its eternal stalemate with the Federation and the Romulan Star Empire. As their forces hold steady at their borders, Klingon scientists and Boreth monks have made a remarkable advancement that has become an insurmountable advantage in battle; they have perfected the stabilization of the poH qut Time Crystals.

Time Crystals are composed of a non-equilibrium matter state, enabling control of four dimensions, granting the Klingons the power to manipulate the fabric of time and interdimensional space. With this colossal power at their disposal, the Klingon Empire has immediately become the dominant force in the quadrant, not just in this reality, but across others as well.

The only way to stop an age of total domination at the hands of Klingon forces is to pursue the Boreth warriors. As they traverse dimensions in their poH qut augmented vessels and armadas, only the most daring commanders are strong enough to track and slipstream through their wake on the most important mission yet, to stop the Klingons from taking over the galaxy…

We are refocusing points on active combat and strategic targets. Here is the breakdown:

  • Klingon Armadas: Earn points by defeating G6 Klingon Solo Armadas and G3+ Klingon Group Armadas while acting as an invader on an opponent’s server.
  • Base Raiding: To refocus the event on PvP and Armadas, base raiding scoring will be removed from the Infinite Incursions Server leaderboard. (The Infinite Incursions Raider XSLB will still run and score as usual.)
  • PvP Kills: Hunting player ships will continue to be a core part of the event and a primary way to score.
  • G7 Open Armadas: Please note that G7 Open Armadas will be excluded from event scoring for this run.

By focusing on these Klingon Armada systems we’re aiming to create new ways for players to score and engage with Infinite Incursions. It’s also less about searching the whole map for opposing players and more about fighting for control of key systems.

To ensure a smoother experience and better align with peak activity, we are shortening Infinite Incursions to a 12-hour window. The event will now run from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM local time, with staggered start times for each region:

  • APAC: March 28th at 8:00 AM KST
  • EU: March 28th at 8:00 AM UTC
  • US: March 28th at 8:00 AM PDT

The standard rules still apply: Shields will automatically drop in all systems over level 20 once Incursions begin in your region. Make sure your station is ready before the timer hits zero.

We’ll be monitoring your feedback closely to see how these narrower bands and the focused scoring impact the overall experience.
