Update 88: Exploring Conqueror Borg Solo Armadas

By Obsidian Hamster 3 March 2026

Conqueror Borg Solo Armadas are among the most challenging encounters yet, and Commanders should strongly consider careful planning, key Maverick Research Nodes, upgrading The Warp Dive Bar, and deploying strong Armada-focused crews, careful Forbidden and Chaos Tech selections, and support ships to succeed.

To engage the new Conqueror Borg Solo Armadas, Commanders must first build The Warp Dive Bar, unlocked through The Warp Dive mission available in the Gift Section for Ops 55+ players.

When entering combat, fleets must include one Explorer, one Interceptor, and one Battleship otherwise the Borg’s Adapt, Overcome ability will immediately destroy the attacking fleet.

For optimal performance, upgrading key Maverick Research nodes is strongly recommended.

The following nodes significantly improve survivability and damage output against Conqueror Borg Solo Armadas:

  • Isolytic Defense vs. Conqueror Borg SA (Ops 55)
  • Apex Shred vs. Conqueror Borg SA (Ops 62)
  • Critical Damage Reduction vs. Conqueror Borg SA (Ops 71)

Upgrading The Warp Dive Bar further strengthens FKR ships through increased Isolytic Damage against Conqueror Borg Solo Armadas, with the bonus scaling as the building levels up.

Support Ships like the U.S.S. Cerritos, U.S.S. Titan-A, and U.S.S. Defiant will all be especially useful here. The U.S.S. Defiant in particular was originally designed to buff ships that were about to engage in Solo Armada combat so Commanders should consider using its ship abilities before engaging a Conqueror Borg Solo Armada.

Focus on bringing your best Armada-focused officers and your strongest Below Decks combat officers. (Maverick Renown and Maverick Credits are awarded via Task milestone completion, so there is no advantage to bringing loot-boosting officers.)

  • Dajash Tolra (Captain) / Gwen DeMarco / Miles O’Brien
  • Benjamin Sisko (Captain) / Jadzia Dax / Julian Bashir (can also work as Captain)
  • Chakotay (Captain) / Katheryn Janeway / Seven of Nine

Try to balance your Below Deck crews for a mix of defense (WOK Joachim), ship repair (PIC Hugh), and status effects like Hull Breach (B’elanna Torres).

  • Zefram Cochrane
  • PIC Hugh
  • Masriad Vael
  • B’elanna Torres
  • Harry Kim (Use on your Explorer)
  • Neelix
  • Tom Paris
  • WOK Joachim
  • WOK McCoy
  • SNW Pelia
  • SNW Black Ops Chapel
  • SNW Montgomery Scott
  • SNW D’Chok
  • Odo
  • Enterprise-E Troi
  • Beckett Mariner
  • D’Vana Tendi
  • Sam Rutherford

Focus on equipping Forbidden Tech like the Quantum Slipstream Drive or that have ship class specific abilities to augment your offensive capabilities:

  • Quantum Slipstream Drive
  • Druoda Sentient Missile (Explorers only)
  • Control Seeker Probes (Explorers only)
  • Berserker Complex (Interceptors only)
  • Dual Photon Warheads (Interceptors only)
  • The Hull Piercer (Battleships only)
  • S31 Torpedo Pods (Battleships only)

Equipping Chaos Tech that inflicts status effects and increases HHP and damage.

  • Enaran Execution Post (Inflicts burning)
  • Temporal Conduit (Inflicts hull breach)
  • Mark VI Photon Torpedo (Large HHP bonus)
  • Omega Molecule (Large crit damage bonus)
  • Interphasic Mirror
  • Chrono Deflector

Make sure to seat FC with abilities that focus on Armadas:

Locutus:

  • Reactive Nanoplating

Janeway:

  • Solo Dreadnaught
  • Solo Juggernaut

Sloan:

  • Cloaked Countersurveillance (If you have a ship that can cloak for the fight)
  • Armada Stakeout

Lorca:

  • Armada Annihilation
  • Cleave Armadas

Success against Conqueror Borg Solo Armadas comes down to careful planning, from fleet composition to Maverick Research and Warp Dive Bar upgrades, as well as Forbidden and Chaos Tech selection and crew optimization, as these encounters will push Commanders to their limits.
