We’re excited to announce the upcoming release of an entirely refreshed feature—Priority 1 Away Team Assignments (P1ATAs)! This revamp was inspired by community feedback and enhances the experience for players Ops level 26 and above.

To start engaging with Priority 1 Assignments, players should first navigate to the Away Teams Research Tree and unlock the “Priority 1: Assignments Unlock” using existing Service Awards. This unlocks your initial P1ATA slot, distinctly highlighted in gold within the Away Teams menu.

From there, players can begin by defeating the new Augment Exiles hostiles (recommended hostiles: 26-40 variants). These hostiles drop Common Hijacked Splicers, which can then be exchanged in the Augment Faction Store for Common Wrath Credits. Utilize these credits to obtain the Planetary Charts Bundle. Planetary Charts are essential, as they allow you to initiate Priority 1 Assignments. Expedite these missions further by utilizing Away Team Speedups and Refresh Tokens, conveniently found within the same bundle.

Priority 1 Away Team Assignment Rewards

Each Priority One Assignment is unlocked via the Away Teams Research Tree and comes in four rarities (our video states three, but this has been adjusted to 4)—Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic—and has been meticulously balanced to accommodate different Ops grades. Standard rewards upon completion include:

• Pioneer’s Crests, which fuel progress in the refreshed Away Teams Research Tree
• Uncommon and Rare Materials and Ship Parts ranging from G3 to G6

Achieving critical success on these assignments significantly increases the rewards, offering Rare and Epic Officer shards from beloved series such as DS9, SNW, ENT-E, and Section 31. Additionally, critical successes yield Prime Dolamide, additional Pioneer’s Crests, high-value materials and parts, and even a chance at full officer unlocks through special Khan Quest Assignments.

Rewards

The Khan Quest Priority 1 Assignments represent the pinnacle of rewards. Unlocked via the Away Teams Research Tree, these Epic assignments directly source Fleet Commander Khan shards and Skill Points, with a rare chance for a complete Fleet Commander Khan unlock. Critical completions further amplify the bounty, including full shards of rare and epic officers. Officer Recruit Bundles in the Augment faction correspond to the Rarities of Augment Hostiles you kill in the Augment Systems, and can be unlocked with Common/Uncommon/Rare/Epic Wrath Credits. 

These Bundles also drop Officer Choice Token, allowing you to gradually gain direct access to several officers of your choice.

Away Team Assignment Quality of Life

Additionally, the refresh includes several Quality-of-Life improvements:

• An Auto-Assign feature for quickly deploying officers to Away Teams
• Direct navigation links from the Away Teams screen to the Research Tree
• A reorganized Away Teams Research Tree for enhanced clarity
• Limited gift bundle: available in the Away Teams Store, players can claim valuable P1ATA resources, including Sigma Away Team Speed-ups for players engaging with G6 content.
