Welcome Update 93.1 Commanders,
Our summer of Star Trek Fleet Command continues with a new update for M93.
As you know, in M93 we addressed several community feedback topics such as changes to Alliance Tournaments, updates to Infinite Incursions, and Quality of Life (QoL) updates like the daily hostile kill counter and Faction Reputation Event auto-join.
With M93.1 we continue the same spirit of addressing community topics. First we have new content, with the G4 expansion of the Ascension Research Tree, made to address the feedback we’ve heard regarding mid-op progression. Additionally we’ve packed in more quality of life features such as building and research timer reductions in mid-ops, Officer Ability filters, server-side optimizations to ease wave defense latency, a search bar for the Inventory tab, and last but not least the ability to claim consecutive completed events without having to return to the main screen!
Read below for more information on our M93.1 new content and Quality of Life improvements.

New Content
In this release we are expanding the Ascension Research Tree for G4 players, making it easier to track your progress through main parts of the game and discover new upgrade opportunities along your journey. The Ascension Tree now includes the Ascension node for G3 to G4 Ascension. In the same manner as for G3, Elite Assassins have been added for G4 systems as well.
To support this progression path, we’ve reduced Station and Research timers across Grades 3, 4, and 5, addressing player feedback around lengthy upgrade times while making it faster to complete key upgrades and progression loops.
We’re also adding Latinum conversion for U.S.S Franklin-A, U.S.S.Titan-A, and Feesha unique ship parts, giving players more flexibility when progressing these ships.
Together, these changes are intended to make progression through the Ascension path clearer while reducing friction in completing the upgrades needed to reach the next milestone.
Ascension Research Tree

The most significant addition to the tree is the node for G3 to G4 Ascension which will require an Ascension token that will only be available to players when their server is eligible.
Important notes:
- In order to progress from Ops 39-> 40, players must obtain Ascend Keys in order to build Operations 40.
- These are obtained by researching Rapid Ascension in the Ascension tree
- Rapid Ascension requires an Ascension Commission Approval, which players will receive in a Gift bundle at level 39 when their server is eligible
- Players will also have to have completed the other research requirements from the Ascension Tree in order to complete Rapid Ascension
- During a limited transition period (until Update 95), existing level 40+ players will receive the Ascension Commission Approval in the Gift Section so they can continue progressing without interruption
- After this grace period, players will only be able to progress to Operations 40 by progressing through the Ascension Research Tree
The extension continues to use Ascension Particles, which are earned by exchanging loot from the Elite FKR Hostiles now available in G4 systems.
As with G3, players can progress faster by engaging with multiple factions. By defeating all three Elite FKR hostile types, players can earn rewards from the Federation, Klingon, and Romulan faction stores, accelerating their progress.

G4 Elite Assassins
In the same manner as for G3, Elite Assassins have been added for G4 systems as well.
Assassin Special Abilities
These hostiles are built around faction-counter gameplay and require players to use an opposing faction FKR ship.
For example, Elite Federation Assassins can be targeted by any Klingon or Romulan Faction Ship.
Specialty ships not tied to those factions such as the U.S.S. Reliant, U.S.S. Voyager and U.S.S. Franklin do not count as core FKR ships. These ships, along with FKR ships from the same faction as the Elite Assassin, will be quickly destroyed in battle with these new hostiles.
Federation: S31 Elite Lethal Strike
- Only Klingon or Romulan ships can challenge this hostile. All other ships will be lethally struck at the start of combat!
Klingon : Mo’Kai Elite Lethal Strike
- Only Federation or Romulan ships can challenge this hostile. All other ships will be lethally struck at the start of combat!
Romulan: Tal’Shiar Elite Lethal Strike
- Only Federation or Klingon ships can challenge this hostile. All other ships will be lethally struck at the start of combat!
On top of those abilities, these hostiles are built with Isolytic damage, Apex Barrier and higher Critical Damage.
Elite Assassins Locations
These hostiles can be found in existing FKR systems from levels 40-50 listed below
| Level | Federation | Klingon | Romulan |
| 40 | Goesting | Zlim’kach | Yvnys |
| 41 | Luoman | Mehg Torr | Ortexa |
| 42 | Rua Ri | Klopp | Corvidae |

Quality of Life Improvements
Quality of Life improvements are little things with big impact. While we know new content is exciting, we also know for many of you the little things that make every session that much smoother is appreciated. For M93.1 we have many QoL improvements that focus on speed, building & research timers now faster than ever in mid-ops, searching in your inventory searches all tabs, new officer ability filters for quicker searching, the first step in wave defense improvement which reduces lag, and a new event claim flow allowing you to claim all consecutive completed events faster than ever. We hope you enjoy these improvements and continue to give us suggestions!
Station/Research Timer Reduction G3/G4/G5
Progression through the G3, G4, and G5 Operations levels is now faster than ever with significant reductions to both building and research timers.
Building timers for all main and specialty buildings have been substantially reduced, with most upgrades now taking one to two weeks at most, depending on the building. Operations upgrades remain the longest construction projects but have also received meaningful time reductions.
Research timers across all research trees have also been significantly reduced, helping Commanders unlock new technologies and progress through key milestones much faster.
These changes apply to non-Sigma construction and research timers, providing a smoother progression experience through G3, G4, and G5 while leaving Sigma progression unchanged.
Search Bar For the Inventory
The Inventory search function now works across all inventory tabs, allowing you to find items without first selecting a specific category. Your search remains active as you switch between tabs and is cleared automatically when you close the Inventory.
Officer Abilities Filter Additions:
Multiple new Abilities were added to the Officer Functionality filters:
- Apex Barrier
- Apex Shred
- Armadas
- Assimilated
- Below Deck Ability
- Burning
- FKR Reputation
- Hull Breach
- Invading Entities
- Isolytic Defense
- Morale
- Outposts
Wave Defense Performance Improvements
We’ve made server-side optimizations to improve Wave Defense performance and reduce latency during encounters. While you shouldn’t expect a dramatic change immediately, this is the first of several Wave Defense performance improvements we have planned, and we’ll continue monitoring live performance as we roll out additional optimizations.
Events
Improved the Event claim flow when multiple SMS events are completed. Players can now claim consecutive completed events without repeatedly returning to the main game screen.
Bug Fixes
Bulk Upgrades
- Fixed an issue in Bulk Upgrade where scrolling the level slider down did not consistently refresh the displayed upgrade requirements. The displayed requirements now always match the selected level. This was a visual issue only; resources were always deducted correctly.
Ships
- Fixed an issue where some ships with two passive abilities displayed only one ability icon when scanning a target. Both abilities are now displayed correctly.
Viewscreen
- Fixed an issue where the Viewscreen displayed the incorrect tab after switching between the News and Videos tabs.
Localization
- Resolved localization and punctuation issues in the Korean and Japanese for IDIC Missions 1–12.
- Fixed a localization issue for Korean and Japanese in the Store Search results.
Thank you for continuing to share your feedback and report issues. Your input plays an important role in helping us prioritize improvements and address issues. We’ll continue working to deliver more fixes and quality-of-life improvements in future updates.
