Commanders
Alliance Tournaments return on October 23, bringing multiple adjustments, with a new format called Rally arriving later in November.
These changes are designed to improve the overall Tournament experience and address some of the challenges encountered during previous runs.
The team will continue to monitor future runs and make additional adjustments as needed.
Task Adjustments
Starting with the upcoming run, we will be introducing several Task adjustments that will apply to both regular Alliance Tournaments and Rally
I.S.S. Enterprise Hostile Tasks
We’re replacing two Tasks that currently require defeating rare-spawn Hostiles within a time-limited zone:
- Common: Defeat I.S.S. Enterprise Hostiles will be replaced with Defeat G6 Gorn Hunter Hostiles.
- Rare: Defeat I.S.S. Enterprise with NSEA Protector will be replaced with Defeat G6 Hazard Hostiles in Hazard Systems.
These replacements will provide more consistent opportunities to progress while keeping Hostile combat as the core objective.
U.S.S. Vengeance Parts
To improve Task balance in Alliance Tournaments and create a more consistent experience across Ops levels, we are replacing the Legendary Acquire Vengeance Parts Task. This Task was easier than intended, as Parts obtained through converters counted toward completion.
To support Commanders who want to exchange Vengeance Parts without cooldowns, we’re updating this Task to a Legendary Acquire Resonance Charge Task with the same points and rewards. Vengeance Parts converters will continue to be available for normal use.
Legendary Acquire Materials Tasks
As mentioned in our previous blog update, we’re continuing to adjust the milestones for Legendary Acquire Materials Tasks.
You may see these requirements adjusted over the next few Alliance Tournaments runs as we review the results and continue refining the values.
Known Issues
We are aware of the following display issues and are currently working on fixes:
- Incorrect points after rerolling: Points may display incorrectly on the main Alliance Tournaments screen after a Task is rerolled. Reopening the Tournaments page or restarting the game refreshes the display.
- Incorrect currencies in the store: The Alliance Tournaments store may display unrelated currencies at the top instead of Alliance Tournament Credits and Legendary Alliance Tournament Credits.
- Milestone number formatting: Milestone point values with more than three digits may appear without number separators, making them harder to read.
Alliance Tournaments: Rally
We’re introducing a new Alliance Tournaments format called Rally, designed to provide additional opportunities to participate and earn rewards without requiring another full-length Tournament.
Rally will be a shorter, two-day event alongside the regular five-day Alliance Tournaments, offering the same Tasks and individual Task rewards with adjusted placement rewards to reflect its shorter duration.
The first Rally will run from Monday, November 9 at 8:00 AM PST / 16:00 UTC through Wednesday, November 11 at 8:00 AM PST / 16:00 UTC.
Rally will feature:
- The same Tasks and board distribution as the regular tournaments
- Three Tasks per day, for a maximum of six Tasks
- The same reroll costs
- The same rewards for individual Tasks
Placement rewards for Alliance Tournament Credits, Legendary Alliance Tournament Credits, and Emerald Chain XP will be scaled to 40% of the five-day amounts to reflect the shorter event duration.
Promotion and relegation percentages will be the same as in regular tournaments. Your Alliance can still move up or down a league, so be sure to complete your Tasks to help keep your Alliance competitive.
Keep Sharing Your Feedback
We will continue monitoring and reviewing player feedback as Alliance Tournaments evolve with each run. Visit the Alliance Tournaments Feedback Forum on the Official STFC Discord to share your thoughts about the changes in the upcoming run. You can also share your feedback by opening a ticket with Customer Support.
When submitting feedback, please include your Operations level, the Task name and rarity, how difficult the Task felt, and what you would change. The more constructive the feedback, the more helpful it is to our team.
Feedback from future regular tournaments and Rally will be reviewed together as we determine the adjustments needed for upcoming runs.
LLAP,
The STFC Team
