Commanders,
Division 12 Week 2 brings recent improvements that are making Star Trek Fleet Command faster and more responsive across loading, Daily Goals, battles, and system interactions, while ongoing work continues to improve Surge reliability.
On October 23, we are starting a new Halloween event series where Commanders can choose between Trick or Treat, with their decision determining the events they’ll participate in throughout the Halloween celebration. Their choice will also influence their final reward in Phase 3.
The Halloween Battle Pass will provide additional opportunities to progress and earn Officer Shards, Cadre Tokens, and more, just in time for the spookiest time of the year!
We also have information about the upcoming Resonance Surge Heroic SMS and XSLB.
Week 2 of Division 12 will also include Multiphasic Exchange adjustments for Ops 71+ players, with updated rewards for G7 Materials, Sigma resources, and Syndicate XP designed to better align with the current economy.

Improvements
As we continue adding new content and features, we’re also making improvements to help Star Trek Fleet Command run more smoothly and reliably.
Recent optimizations have made loading and event interactions faster, improved battle processing, and made in System interactions more responsive. We’re also continuing to improve reliability during Surge events.
- Faster Loading Times: We have reduced the time it takes to transition to Ship Construction Hull Selection, resulting in less waiting between screens and a smoother experience for players.
- Improved Daily Goals Performance: Latency has decreased for some of the slowest aspects of overall Daily Goal performance. These changes should make Daily Goal interactions faster and more responsive, particularly during busy periods. Additional optimizations are underway.
- Improved Battle Performance: Recent changes have improved battle and event processing, including faster battle resolution and less CPU usage per battle for event processing. These improvements help reduce combat delays and support a more responsive experience during periods of high activity.
- Improved System Performance: The team addressed a long-standing processing bottleneck, reducing the time it takes the game to load ships, hostiles, and mining nodes when you open a system. This means faster interactions in systems, with further performance improvements being explored.
Ongoing Reliability Work
- Surge Reliability: The team has deployed changes to automatically clean up Ghost Hostiles during Surge events and transitions. These changes are intended to prevent enemies from remaining unexpectedly and interfering with gameplay. The solution is still being validated in the live game. Upcoming Surge events will be monitored to assess its effectiveness and identify any further improvements needed.
We’ll continue monitoring these improvements and making adjustments as needed to provide a smoother experience for Commanders.
Trick or Treat: Choose Your Path for Halloween 2026!

In this new event series, Commanders Ops 20+ can choose between Trick or Treat, unlocking different paths that have separate events and rewards throughout the Halloween celebration. The event unfolds across three phases, featuring special promo codes, trivia SMS challenges, collectible tokens, and a Halloween invasion with new hostiles to defeat.
Players can also earn rewards, including Officer Shards, exclusive Titles, a new Projectile, and an Avatar based on their original Trick or Treat choice, with additional rewards available through the Halloween Event Store!
Phase 1: Trick or Treat
Phase 1 of the event series runs from October 23 to October 25. To begin, Commanders will receive a Trick or Treat Choice Token in the Gift Section that they can use in the Event Store to choose either Trick or Treat.
Each option provides a different free gift of Officer Shards and unlocks a unique event and reward path for the opening weekend.
The Trick Path focuses on building upgrade currencies, while the Treat Path focuses mainly on research upgrade currencies.
Trick Path
- Mirror Data Shards and the ‘Trickster’ title.
- Ops 20-39: Emblems of Assessment (Court of Q)
- Ops 40-44: Artifact Gallery Schematics
- Ops 45-60: Recon Locus Schematics
- Ops 61-80: Class Honors
Treat Path
- FCM Data Shards and the ‘My Treat’ title
- Ops 20-39: Syndicate XP
- Ops 40-60: Premium Mirror Dust
- Ops 61-80: Maverick Periphery Intel
Choose Wisely, Commanders!
Your choice between Trick or Treat will determine more than just your opening weekend experience. It will shape not only the events you participate in and the rewards you earn in Phase 1, but also your event and rewards during the Phase 3 finale.
Be sure to consider both paths above before making your selection!
Phase 2: Prelude

From October 26 through October 28, Commanders can participate in daily SMS events and Trivia SMS events to earn Candy Gorn Tokens. Resembling Candy Corn, these mysterious tokens have caught Pelia’s attention, and she wants to collect them for research.
Bring these Candy Gorn Tokens to Pelia through the three-day Strictly for Research Meta SMS. The reward for this collection event is the Candy Corn Cannon, a new projectile.
Promo Codes
Throughout the Halloween event series, Commanders will have the opportunity to discover and redeem special promo codes!
From October 23 through October 31, Commanders can redeem the SPOOKY26 promo code to receive Officer Shards for Borg Queen, Mirror Picard, Five of Eleven, Six of Eleven, and VIL Gul Dukat.
But that’s not all! Additional promo codes will be hidden throughout the celebration, offering special tokens that count toward a Meta SMS featuring an exclusive Player Title and Projectile.
Keep your eyes peeled for more promo codes across email, Discord, Reddit, Instagram, and Facebook! Find and redeem them in the Web Store to collect enough tokens to unlock these exclusive rewards.

Phase 3 begins on October 29, bringing new hostile encounters, events, and rewards, including a final event determined by your Trick or Treat choice.

Bug Fixes
Kir’Shara
- Fixed an issue where the Kir’shara attack queue would unexpectedly drop or clear when performing certain actions, including docking another ship, opening the event screen, or defeating a hostile in another system and switching between systems.
Battle Pass
- Fixed an issue where selecting the Elite Unlock option through the Battle Pass HUD icon could redirect players to a different Battle Pass purchase screen than the one they originally selected.
LLAP,
The STFC Team
