Incoming Improvements & Updates

By STFC 26 September 2025

Commanders,

Thanks to your ongoing feedback, we’re continuing to increase and open up our communication with specific details and actions we’re taking, and we’re rolling out a set of quality-of-life improvements between arcs and in our next update. Here’s what’s changing, why we’re doing it, and when you can expect to see it.

We’re expanding the Transporter Patterns store with seven officers so you have more ways to put your excess shards to work and progress crews you care about.

Arriving within the next two weeks before the next major patch:

  • Borg 5 of 11
  • SNW Una
  • PvP SNW La’an
  • Borg Queen
  • Borg Hugh
  • Weyoun
  • Gul Dukat

In the next update, we’re adjusting system warp access so a max Gorn Eviscerator + max FC Kirk warp range can reach the entire loop.

Affected systems: Pteros and Rioah.

Not only is this a faster improvement, it reduces the chance of introducing unforeseen issues, as the Eviscerator would widen the systems it can reach both now and in the future. Bottom line: the Eviscerator should reach every system in its loop, and this change makes that happen.

Based on community feedback—and looking at how many players are reaching the cap and the impact that has on diverse engagement with different features—we’re increasing the current hostile cap from 2,000 → 2,500 in the next update.

Constraints and limitations are important for the game. They help us understand boundaries for balance, and they also drive behaviors and solutions for players. Asking players where to focus their time and actions to maximize impact is important. We evaluate how changes affect player behavior as we launch new updates, and it’s clearly time to lift this number. This bump gives active players more room without compromising game integrity.

To make key officers useful right now, we’re shifting their focus from Flashpoint hostiles to Suliban hostiles in the next patch.

Officer Ability — Where Are My Manners?
Increases Isolytic Cascade Damage by X% versus Suliban Hostiles.

40% / 55% / 80% / 110% / 150%

Officer Ability — The Ghost
Increases Isolytic Defense by X% versus Suliban Hostiles.

40% / 60% / 90% / 130% / 200%

When we announced the Flashpoint pause, our goal was to bring it back in H1 2026 in a manner that actually delivered on the original vision: longer-form progression across the arc based on server-wide engagement with challenges. As we worked to adjust what we had within a reasonable timeframe to meet that goal, we found it needed more time and additional capabilities.

Rather than leaving these officers without full utility for that long, we decided to update their capabilities now and give any future updates the time they need to deliver on their promise. We have no current plans to bring Flashpoint back in the near term, and we’ll keep you updated if that changes.

Conor will continue sharing state-of-the-game updates between arcs. You can expect the next GM update following the conclusion of Villains Pt 2 between the October and November arcs.

Your feedback continues to shape our game—please keep it coming by joining our official Discord. We’ll monitor these changes closely and iterate where needed. Keep an eye out for more updates and improvements in our next game update.

Live Long and Prosper,
-The Star Trek Fleet Command Team
