The TMP Crew brings together iconic figures from the Motion Picture era as a team that is uniquely suited to take on Outposts.
V’ger Ilia, the Enterprise’s former navigator who, after being transformed into a V’ger probe and retaining her memories and emotions, ultimately merged with V’ger and Will Decker to become part of a new lifeform traveling the universe in search of understanding.
Hikaru Sulu, former helmsman of the U.S.S. Enterprise and now Captain of the U.S.S. Excelsior, whose steady leadership helped stop General Chang at the Battle of Khitomer.
Nyota Uhura, a legendary communications expert whose work ranged from decoding ancient transmissions to aiding contact with the V’ger entity and who now rises as a newly promoted Captain.

Built to endure repeated waves of enemies, this crew steadily ramps up effectiveness over time, making it a strong choice for Outpost-focused content.
Sulu: Barrier and Survivability Anchor
At the heart of the crew is Hikaru Sulu, who provides powerful Apex Barrier bonuses that allow ships to withstand sustained enemy pressure. As Captain, Sulu’s Master of This Vessel grants 2,000 Apex Barrier for 10 rounds when fighting non-Armada targets, including Outposts and Retaliation Attackers.
With full TMP Crew Synergy, Sulu’s total Apex Barrier bonus increases to 8,000, significantly improving survivability and making the crew especially effective against repeated retaliation waves. It’s important to note that Hikaru Sulu’s Captain’s Maneuver is the only source of Apex Barrier that works against Outposts and Retaliation Attackers.

Nyota Uhura‘s Officer Ability, Message from Starfleet, enables early offensive momentum by applying Hull Breach at the start of battle. This immediately creates vulnerability on non-Armada and Outpost targets, setting up the rest of the crew’s synergies from the opening round.

Critical Chance Scaling with Sulu
Once any state is applied to an enemy, Sulu’s Officer Ability, Don’t Call Me Tiny, activates to increase the ship’s Critical Chance at the start of each round. This ensures consistent damage output as battles progress.

V’ger Ilia capitalizes on applied states through Universal Empathy, increasing Isolytic Cascade Damage each round against Outposts and Retaliation Ships. As engagements extend, this scaling damage becomes increasingly impactful.

- At the start of each round against non-Armada Hostiles, Outposts, and Outpost Retaliation Ships, if the target has any state applied, increases your ship’s Isolytic Cascade Damage by X for 5 rounds.

The Neural Neutralizer Advantage
When it comes to Outpost attacks, Commanders should consider using the Neural Neutralizer Prototype Tech, which enhances Outpost combat by increasing Critical Hit Chance against Outposts and boosting all Mitigation stats versus Outposts and Outpost Retaliation Ships.
It also increases Base Damage and strengthens Apex Barrier effectiveness against both Node Outposts and their Retaliation attackers.
Shards for the Neural Neutralizer can be obtained by leveling up the Signal Observatory.
