Commanders, we are pleased to introduce The Nova Squadron Facility! Named for the elite cadet squadron from Starfleet Academy, this facility is available now to Commanders with an Operations level of 30 or above, and can be built once you have claimed the free gift with the initial construction materials. Once constructed, the facility can be upgraded with Starfleet Honors, available as a daily material claim.

As listed in the patch notes, the Nova Squadron facility itself provides three powerful passive bonuses. The first two apply to your ships, enhancing shield HP and weapon damage. The third improves the cost efficiency for the following special facility upgrade materials: Section 31 Transmitters (The Facade), Emblems of Assessment (Court of Q), Quantum Communicators (Artifact Gallery), Subspace Relay Upgrades (Subspace Relay), and Holo-Field Amplifiers (Holodeck).

These passive bonuses are already significant, but what really made Starfleet Academy’s Nova Squadron special was its proficiency with special maneuvers and tactics! The Nova Squadron on your station is no different, and each level upgrade to the facility will grant you a fixed quantity of Nova Squadron particles, used in the all new Star Path research tree. Star Path research nodes are focused on enhancing the effects of the three primary combat states (Morale, Hull Breach, Burning), and are sure to add depth to your tactical choices!
