With Update 94: Cause & Effect, we’re introducing new ways to give you more choice and flexibility in how you progress. Throughout the Battle Pass, you’ll earn new Choice Tokens that can be used across three Exchanges to claim the rewards that matter most to you.
From Artifacts and Ship Blueprints to Ship Parts and other resources, these new Exchanges give you more control over where your Battle Pass progress takes you.
Cause & Effect Artifact Exchange (Ops 51+)
Earn Artifact Choice Tokens from the Free and Elite Battle Pass, then exchange them for your choice of six new Rare and Epic Artifacts being released in Update 94.
Whether you’re looking for a specific Artifact or deciding which one best complements your progression, you choose where your Artifact Choice Tokens go.
Ops 51+ New Artifacts
Benny Russell’s Typewriter
- Increases the quantity of Solo Outpost Credits and Elite Solo Outpost Credits earned by all ships by up to 150% at max level. This bonus applies fleet-wide.
Picard’s Earl Grey Tea Cup
- Increases base Isolytic Damage against Outposts and Outpost Retaliation Hostiles for all ships by up to 300% at max level. This bonus applies fleet-wide.
Kirk’s Spectacles
- Increases base Apex Barrier against Outposts and Outpost Retaliation Hostiles for all ships by up to 7,500 at max level. This bonus applies fleet-wide.
Captain Archer’s Polo Ball
- Increases base Isolytic Defense against V’Ger Hostiles by up to 150% at max level.
Ops 61+ New Artifacts
Janeway’s Antigen Device
- Increases the quantity of loot earned from Origin Sector (OGN) Hostiles by up to 125% at max level.
Trelane’s Medals
- Increases base Critical Mitigation against Academy Training and Combat Drones, including in Duo Wave Defense, by up to 400,000 at max level.

Starship Exchange (Ops 20+)
Earn BP Starship Choice Tokens through the Free and Elite Battle Pass and exchange them for your choice of eligible Starship Blueprints and Ship Upgrade Parts.
The Starships available in the Exchange will vary based on your Operations level, providing a curated selection relevant to your current progression and giving you more freedom to advance the Starships you want.

Supply Exchange
The Battle Pass Supply Exchange is expanding to give you even more choice over your Battle Pass rewards.
Ops 20+ Commanders will continue using the existing BP Material Choice Token to claim their choice of eligible Materials and Resources.
New for Ops 40+ Commanders in Update 94, instead of earning a predetermined mix of FKR Ship Parts directly from Battle Pass milestones, you’ll earn BP FKR Ship Part Choice Tokens. Use these tokens in the Battle Pass Supply Exchange to claim your choice of eligible Uncommon and Rare Interceptor, Battleship, Explorer, or Surveyor Ship Parts.
Both tokens can be used within the Battle Pass Supply Exchange, giving you one destination to choose the supplies that best fit your progression.
Additional Updates
Return to 20 Milestones
We’re returning the Battle Pass to the 20-milestone structure used prior to Update 90. Rewards will be consolidated across fewer milestones, making each milestone feel larger and more meaningful while creating a cleaner progression experience.
Free Rare Officer Unlock
Complete the Free Battle Pass Track to earn a full unlock of a Rare Officer at the final milestone, giving every player a major reward to chase throughout the Battle Pass.
Expanded Ascension Particle Sourcing
We’re expanding Ascension Particle sourcing across the Battle Pass. Ops 51–60 players will now receive Ascension Particles, while Ops 40–50 players will receive increased quantities.
Ascension Particles will also be added to the Free Battle Pass Track, giving more players additional ways to progress their Ascension Research.
Webstore Bonus Multiphasic Credits
Purchase a Battle Pass Offer through the Web Store to earn 3x Multiphasic Credits directly from the Battle Pass Offer compared to other Web Store offers at comparable price points.
Expanded Specialty Building Upgrade Materials
Building upon the changes introduced in M93, we’re expanding Specialty Building Upgrade Materials to Ops 51+ players across both the Free and Elite Battle Pass Tracks. Featured buildings will vary by Operations level, providing upgrade materials relevant to your progression.

Update 94’s Battle Pass introduces new Choice Tokens and Exchanges, giving players more control over the Artifacts, Ship Blueprints, Ship Parts, Materials, and Resources they earn.
The update also brings back 20 Battle Pass milestones, expands progression rewards, introduces new Officer unlocks and temporary Elite benefits, and adds more rewards across both the Free and Elite Battle Pass Tracks.
