Villains Part 2 Patch Notes

By Obsidian Hamster 7 October 2025

“Smart. Adaptive. Lightning-fast. You never cease to impress, Commander, but you will bend to our will. One way or another.”

The Aggregation’s grip tightens as factions are steered by leaders pulled from across time and dimensions. You’ve climbed their ranks, forged a precarious alliance with Winn Adami, and uncovered whispers of a catastrophic project helmed by Gul Dukat, Gary Mitchell, and Hurak. The secret at the center, the Core, is closer than ever. Rally your allies, expose the corruption, and strike before the galaxy fractures beyond repair.

Quality of Life Updates

In the next update, we’re adjusting system warp access so a max Gorn Eviscerator + max FC Kirk warp range can reach the entire loop.

Affected systems: Pteros and Rioah.

Based on community feedback—and looking at how many players are reaching the cap and the impact that has on diverse engagement with different features—we’re increasing the current hostile cap from 2,000 → 2,500 in the next update.

To make key officers useful right now, we’re shifting their focus from Flashpoint hostiles to Suliban hostiles in the next patch.

Officer Ability — Where Are My Manners?
Increases Isolytic Cascade Damage by X% versus Suliban Hostiles.

40% / 55% / 80% / 110% / 150%

Officer Ability — The Ghost
Increases Isolytic Defense by X% versus Suliban Hostiles.

40% / 60% / 90% / 130% / 200%

New Missions

The Aggregation spreads through shadow and influence. Your alliance with Winn Adami gives you a foothold—but Dukat’s triad with Mitchell and Hurak accelerates a plan that could unmake the quadrant. The only path to victory is to rally the few who still believe, unravel the Core, and end the Aggregation from within.

The Aggregation and the “Core” grow ever stronger, and the new quadrant-wide war is only a matter of time. Joining forces with unlikely allies, the Commander must uncover the secrets of the enigmatic organisation and thwart their plans at all costs.

A renowned prototype Starfleet ship, the U.S.S. Dauntless, is finally joining the Commander’s fleet. However, its long history has left a mark on its systems, as an oddly familiar guest makes an appearance. The Aggregation is growing stronger, striking from the shadows and conspiring the factions against each other, with the help of infamous leaders from the past, future, and parallel dimensions. But even in the darkest corners of the Universe, one can find a glimmer of hope. There is a growing power within the Aggregation, ready to destroy the criminal group from the inside, and at the head of this force is the Commander.

New Ship: U.S.S Dauntless

Commanders, a new hunter enters the fray. Once a deception for Voyager and now a symbol of Starfleet ingenuity, the U.S.S. Dauntless is engineered to transform hostile grinding. It excels with its Seek and Destroy ability, hunting targets with ruthless efficiency while stacking offensive and defensive bonuses against non‑Armada hostiles.

  • Type: Epic Interceptor
  • Requirement: Ops 45+ (Shipyard 45)
  • Progression: 15 tiers / 75 levels
  • Sourcing: Blueprints available Day 1 in the Aggregation Refinery
  • Limit: One Dauntless per Commander

Activates automated hostile‑targeting. While active, Dauntless auto‑targets, intercepts, and attacks non‑Armada hostiles, prioritizing the nearest target and won’t target revenge hostiles. During S&D, Dauntless gains Weapon Damage and Apex Barrier bonuses vs non‑Armada. (Unavailable in Arena and Wave Defense.)

Increased base Damage vs non‑Armada while Seek & Destroy is active.

Increased Apex Barrier vs non‑Armada while Seek & Destroy is active.

Increased loot from hostiles.

Increased Reclaimed Loot from Aggregation hostiles.

Trigger Seek & Destroy and let the Dauntless automatically hunt nearby targets as you monitor the field. Know the limits—S&D doesn’t engage revenge hostiles and can’t be used in Wave Defense or Arena—but inside those parameters, it’s a relentless threat in PvE.

G7 players: The Dauntless is meant for normal galaxy play. While its strengths aren’t focused on G7 space, its Seek and Destroy active ability works towards goals while you continue to explore the Margins and beyond.

Known Issues on Release

  • After activating the U.S.S. Dauntless’ Active Ship Ability Seek and Destroy in the Mirror Universe space, you will need to wait until the duration ends. When restarting the game, the Ability will remain active (auto-hunting continues) and the ship cannot be moved manually. This is not intended and this may be more noticeable when trying to farm hostiles in the Mirror Universe. The “ASA” button becomes unresponsive and the ability cannot be turned off manually. You’ll need to wait until the ability duration ends. A fix is planned to be released later this week. (Update: Fix will rollout on October 8th, 2025.)
  • In rare cases, when activating the Dauntless ability, the ship enters an active state but remains idle instead of initiating auto-hunt behavior as expected. During this phase, the deactivation button appears and the ability button becomes disabled, resulting in one ASA duration being consumed without effect. After the cooldown period, the Dauntless resumes normal functionality. We’re expecting a fix in the coming days.
  • Stronger than usual hostiles into Q Trials (Fix will rollout on October 8th, 2025.)
  • Cursor misalignment causes targeting register below the actual position (Fix will rollout on October 8th, 2025.)

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • We have sent out the Exocomp Factory Key to all players who are ops 51 and also have their Exocomp Factory at level 51.This will be a claim in their gifts section and will be evergreen.
  • Added a button next to dialogues to open a panel showing all the dialogue up to the current line, including player choices.
  • Improved the ship construction interface to open scrolled to the player’s current grade.
  • Improved the messaging shown to players below level 16 when accessing the exocomps area, providing clearer unlock requirements.
  • Players can now switch loading screen tips on/off via an in-game settings toggle.
  • Sliders are now set by default to the maximum claimable amount when opening chests
  • Resolved an issue where queued hostiles were being skipped when players attacked multiple hostiles in the same system using multiple ships.
  • The action queue no longer clears after changing the screens.
  • The Borg Cube no longer gets stuck while in the queue for an attack when using the Impulse Speed officer setup.
  • The “Armada” button no longer displays a string when starting Armadas after queuing hostiles using the Kir’Shara artifact.
  • Navigation time between targets has been improved

Live Long and Prosper,
