Update 57: Voyager Pt. 4

By Star Trek 8 August 2023

The Collective is experiencing instability from assimilating the Descendants, with whom they are fundamentally incompatible. An anomaly is growing in the center of the Delta Quadrant as they try to force their way into the Progenitor Network. Now the worry is not just that the Borg will gain access to the Network, but that they will corrupt it entirely.
The Commander and Voyager struggle to bring the Coalition and Insurgence together against the Borg. Seeing some of their comrades fall to the Borg, the Insurgence finally agrees to work with their enemies. But even with the help of these unlikely allies, Voyager will struggle to push back against the Borg Unicomplexes that are flooding the systems around the anomaly.
They do have one last resort, though – the Pakik tech. Originating from a failed experiment to create an artificial wormhole, the Pakik tech is a weapon of mass destruction. But if the crew use it to defeat the Borg, then they are giving up on a potential way home…

Update 57 Includes:

  • Rare Formation Armadas
  • An extension to the Station Tree G5 Commanders
  • An Event Store
  • New Forbidden Tech
  • New Officers
  • New Mission
  • And more

Rare Formation Armadas

Update 57 introduces the next step-up in Formation Armada difficulty by delivering new Rare opponents that are located in five new systems being uncovered this month. These new targets are not Species 8472 but are instead the Borg.

The directives for these new targets can be found in the seven day loyalty chest, and similar to Uncommon Formation Armadas, the goal is to take down three nodes simultaneously to completely defeat the target.

Just like uncommon Formation Armadas, there are rewards for not only for being a part of the team that defeats the node, but also for everyone if all three nodes are taken down.

The rewards for defeating a node are Complex Nanotech, which can be exchanged for a variety of items such as Voyager officer shards and rare Fleet Commander Skill points. If all three nodes are taken down, everyone participating will receive Isolytic Artifact shards depending on the level Formation Armada. Each level of rare Formation Armada has a pool of Artifact shards that can be earned:

Rare Formation Armada – Level 31:

  • Captain Proton’s Blaster
  • Blade of Tkon
  • Vidiian Honatta Organ Harvester

Station Tree Expansion

The new Station Tree Extension is available for all Commanders operations level 51 and above. With 39 nodes and 4 prime nodes, these will provide a plethora of options that help with cost and time efficiency when upgrading your station and fleet. The four primes specifically focus on:

  • Increasing the daily Syndicate XP claim
  • Fleet Command Skill Point Cost efficiency
  • Providing a Fleet Commander Credits gift bundle
  • And increasing the cost efficiency for some ships

A new material, Cosmic Particles, is needed to complete these researches. This material can be found in the third chest while completing your daily goals

New Research

There are three new prime nodes available this month that focus on Shield health, Isolytic Damage, and Isolytic Mitigation:

Galaxy Tree:

10% / 15% / 30%/ 60% / 100%

A note from the development team: We’ve been keeping an eye on the impact of BDAs trigger effects such as Morale and Hull Breach. Whenever we come out with a new officer, we look at potential high-value crew combinations to analyze their impact on Star Trek Fleet Command. When Tal and Neelix were used in conjunction with one another, we saw a spike in overall combat prowess that was much higher than any other crew in the game. For this reason, and to keep the overall officer balance intact, Neelix’s ability in the lower decks will not trigger alongside Tal.

New Fleet Commander

A new Fleet Commander is here! Unlock Admiral Janeway to acquire powerful buffs that bolster your combat effectiveness across the galaxy.

The Tactician tree specializes in combating Q’s Trials’ hostiles, while also offering a Shield Health passive, as well as a new and powerful ability that allows Janeway to be swapped out of the Command Center without incurring a cooldown.

The Admiral tree is focused on providing some extra firepower and utility when taking on armadas of all types.

The Scientist tree provides a node to help upgrade forbidden tech and a variety of other buffs to your station and fleet.
