Player Feedback: Progression, Alliances, and Quality-of-Life Updates

By Obsidian Hamster 27 August 2026

We regularly review feedback from players across the Star Trek Fleet Command community and that feedback has helped move several meaningful improvements forward. We are excited to share the progress we are making on these suggestions. From improvements to Forbidden Tech progression to faster Claim All actions, several changes are underway, with more being planned or explored.

To make this work more visible, we are introducing a recurring blog series highlighting player suggestions and providing clarity about where they stand.

The topics below are not a complete list of the feedback we are reviewing or the improvements currently in development. For this edition, we have selected several requests where we can provide a clear update. Some are in development, some are being considered for future work, and others are not currently planned.

Forbidden Tech progression currently stops at level 55, leaving no way to advance it through level 60. Work is in progress on a solution that will allow progression through level 60. This is planned for an upcoming release.

Admirals and Commodores currently do not have a way to send a single in-game message to every member of their Alliance, making Alliance-wide coordination more difficult. The team is evaluating where this feature may fit within a future release.

As the game has expanded, officer abilities, buffs, and stats have evolved over time. As a result, ability text and tooltips have not always followed a consistent standard.

Standardization changes were recently introduced that primarily address formatting and consistency. Additional work is underway to establish a consistent standard across existing and future officer text and will be rolled out in phases.

In future updates, red triangle hostiles will be referred to as Standard Hostiles, replacing “non-Armada hostiles.” Standard Damage will be used in place of the broader Damage term to improve consistency across damage types.

Systems with housing do not currently have a dedicated map icon, making them harder to identify at a glance. The map filter options are being expanded to make systems with key features easier to identify. This includes adding a dedicated icon for systems with housing, making them easier to locate on the map. This is being explored for a future release.

One recurring request is to bring back an Officer Depot Token store that offers a choice of rewards.

An updated Officer Depot Token system is being considered for a future release. The goal is to reintroduce player choice, with Officer Badges included among the available options. Any update would also include adjustments to the balance and role of the Officer Depot system.

G7 players have asked for Multiphasic Credit redemptions to better reflect the value and progression needs of their grade, including an increase to the number of credits provided.

We will be updating the contents of G7 bundles redeemed with Multiphasic Credits to increase the value they provide. The Syndicate Pack will also receive an adjustment.

The number of Multiphasic Credits included in each bundle will not change. Multiphasic Credit amounts are tied to the bundle’s purchase price across the game. This keeps your benefit for purchasing from the STFC store consistent and easy to understand. We will always increase the value of these Credits through the redemption bundles.

Feedback on Syndicate buffs have focused on whether their buffs provide enough progression for G7 players.
Syndicate buffs released prior to G7 and were balanced around the state of the game at that time, similar to the various other buffs released through Artifacts, Research, and other sources at the same time.

A new Syndicate expansion is not currently on the roadmap, but we do expect to expand the system in the future. Any future Syndicate levels will be balanced with G7 progression in mind.

*Correction: An earlier version of this blog stated that the current max Syndicate levels was 71-80. We have updated the blog to reflect all Syndicate levels. (August 27, 2026)

Additional in-game sourcing has been requested for the Vengeance’s Cloak, Warp, and Summon refit abilities.

The Cloak, Warp, and Summon refit abilities for the Vengeance will be included in future Alliance Tournament runs. Additional details on availability will be shared with Alliance Tournaments updates. Other sourcing will remain as it is currently.

Being repeatedly targeted by the same opponent over time can leave players with limited ways to respond through current gameplay and support options.

As Star Trek Fleet Command approaches its eighth anniversary, we are reviewing how repeated, targeted PvP is handled in the game. This includes near-term policy and support options, as well as longer-term gameplay ideas that could create more meaningful ways to respond when targeting continues over time.

Feedback about leaderboard rewards centers on increasing the number of placements that receive higher-tier rewards.

The current leaderboard structure will remain in place at this time. Alternative structures may be considered in the future, but any changes would need to preserve the value of top placements and maintain meaningful leaderboard engagement.

The 7-Day and 30-Day Loyalty Chests contain older officer and ship rewards that some players would like updated for G5+ progression.

Event Store Tokens will not replace the current officer and blueprint rewards in the 7-Day and 30-Day Loyalty Chests, as their value and availability change from release to release. New G5+ options for Carol, Keenser, and the Ferengi D’Vor will be reviewed for inclusion in a future update. Adding resources (Triatinum, Parsteel, Dilithium) is not currently planned for these chests.

Frequent offer pop-ups can interrupt active play and may reappear after the game is restarted.

Changes in Update 94.1 are being introduced to reduce the frequency of offer pop-ups. The timer will be increased and should persist between sessions. A new offer may trigger a pop-up before the period has elapsed.

When a screen transition fails to complete, the game can appear frozen and may require a restart before the player can continue.

We’ve improved how the game handles these failures. Instead of leaving players stuck on a loading screen, the game can return them to the previous screen or another safe location, reducing the number of situations that require a restart. We’ve also added better diagnostic information to help identify recurring transition issues.

Claim All can currently interrupt play while rewards are processed, including locking the game and displaying blank loading screens between chest summaries.

The next phase of Claim All improvements will make reward collection faster and smoother. Players will be able to keep using the game while claims process in the background, with fewer loading interruptions and no black screens between chest summaries. This change will be live in Update M94.1.

Player feedback is an important part of improving Star Trek Fleet Command, and we value the time players take to share their ideas. Gathering suggestions is one part of the process, and through posts like this, we want to be more visible about the progress being made on  suggestions and provide clearer context about where they stand.

If you have a suggestion for Star Trek Fleet Command, please share it by opening a chat on our Support site or on our official Discord. While we cannot act on every idea, the suggestions we receive help us better understand what players want and where the game could improve.
