Following last month’s intense Solo Wave Defenses, featuring formidable Apex Barrier-protected hostiles, we now introduce the all-new Elite Solo Wave Defenses—designed specifically to challenge even the most seasoned Commanders.
As implied by the name, Elite Solo Wave Defenses significantly ramp up the difficulty compared to the standard version. To enter, you’ll use the familiar Section 31 Private Cipher keys available in the Section 31 faction store. Just like the regular Solo Wave Defense, Commanders may deploy three ships and have 10 minutes from when the first ship enters the system to prepare for battle. However, once the battle commences, the differences will quickly become apparent!
Here’s a detailed rundown of what awaits you in Elite Solo Wave Defense:
Stronger Hostiles
Elite enemies pack a much stronger punch compared to those in standard Solo Wave Defense. Crews specialized for speed might find themselves outmatched, so ensure you’re equipped with your most powerful ships and carefully selected crews for this battle!
Faster Hostiles
Prepare for rapid engagements as Elite Solo Wave Defense hostiles move at significantly greater speeds. Commanders will need to make quick tactical decisions to intercept incoming enemies effectively. Maintaining your combat triangle advantage against every hostile may become increasingly difficult, so strategically prioritize threats nearest to your defending ships.
More Hostiles
Elite Solo Wave Defenses feature more hostiles per wave, escalating the intensity and complexity of each encounter. Commanders will need precise strategies and rapid adjustments to survive the increased threat levels.
Greater Rewards
As the Ferengi wisely advise—Rule of Acquisition #63: “The Riskier the Road, the Greater the Profit!” Commanders who successfully navigate this perilous road will reap significantly greater rewards. The payouts for Elite Solo Wave Defenses are nearly double that of their standard counterparts, offering substantial quantities of Section 31 Access Keys, Section 31 Mirror Credits, and Section 31 Credits.
GS-31 Recon Data
Additionally, Elite Solo Wave Defenses introduce a new currency: GS-31 Recon Data. This currency, available exclusively through these elite engagements, is used in the GS-31 Refinery to upgrade the potent GS-31 Interceptor. While possessing a GS-31 doesn’t guarantee victory, this ship’s powerful abilities greatly enhance your chances, proving invaluable in tackling this advanced challenge.
