In Conor’s recent State of the Game update, we talked about being more intentional with what we ship. That means fewer “events for the sake of events” and more focus on meaningful progression, clear rewards, and a healthier day to day experience.
Sarris Invasions (and the associated Fatu-Krey content) have not consistently met that bar for enough of you. They created ongoing complexity for the live game without delivering the level of clarity, excitement, or impact we want our events to have.
As part of our work to streamline the experience and invest in the right places, we are permanently sunsetting Sarris Invasions and updating how you can use any remaining Sarris and Fatu-Krey resources.
Below you will find what is changing, how to use your currencies, and where you will continue to find rewards like Galactic Acclaim and Gwen Demarco shards.
What is happening to Sarris Invasions and Fatu-Krey events?
- Sarris Invasion events are being discontinued.
- The Sarris Invasion store and related bundles will remain available for approximately one month starting in the first week of January.
- We may extend this window if needed so Commanders have enough time to use remaining resources.
We will clearly communicate these timelines so players can prepare accordingly.
What can I do with my existing Sarris and Fatu-Krey resources?
All Commanders with Sarris Invasion or Fatu-Krey related resources will be able to trade them in during the exchange window that begins in the first week of January.
Here is how each currency will work.
Blue Particle Accelerators
- Blue Particle Accelerators will be exchangeable for Sarris Dominion Salvage.
Sarris Dominion Salvage
- Sarris Dominion Salvage will continue to use its normal bundles and exchanges.
- You can keep converting Salvage through the existing bundles during the exchange period.
Fatu-Krey Scraps
- Fatu-Krey Scraps bundles will remain open.
- These bundles will offer increased pulls per cooldown so you can convert Scraps more quickly.
Fatu-Krey Eye Patches
- Your Fatu-Krey Eye Patch balances will be available to exchange in the Sarris Invasion store during the exchange window starting in the first week of January.
We encourage you to check your inventory and use the exchange options during this time so no Sarris Invasion or Fatu-Krey currency is left unused.
Where will I find Galactic Acclaim and Gwen Demarco shards now?
These rewards will continue to be sourced from other parts of the game.
Galactic Acclaim
- Available in the Outpost refinery.
- Available in the Offers tab.
Gwen Demarco Shards
- Available in the Officer Depot store.
- Available in the Augment faction store.
Access to these rewards will remain consistent even after Sarris Invasions are removed.
Why are Sarris Invasions and Fatu-Krey content being removed?
This change is directly aligned with the direction set out in Conor’s State of the Game message:
- We are streamlining the live game, focusing on features and events that provide clearer progression.
- We want events to feel intentional and rewarding, not something that exists only to fill a schedule.
- Removing lower impact features lets us reinvest time and attention into stability, fixes, mid ops improvements, Outposts, and new experiences that better match your feedback.
Sunsetting Sarris Invasions is part of cleaning up the overall event ecosystem so that when you see content appear, it is there for a strong reason.
When will exchanges for Sarris and Fatu-Krey resources be available?
- Exchange options will start in the first week of January.
- The Sarris Invasion store and related bundles will run for approximately one month from that point, with the possibility of an extension.
During this time you will be able to:
- Exchange Sarris Invasion Directives for Sarris Dominion Salvage.
- Use Sarris Dominion Salvage in its normal bundles.
- Convert Fatu-Krey Scraps with increased pulls per cooldown.
- Exchange Fatu-Krey Eye Patches in the Sarris Invasion store.
Is this a permanent removal or a temporary pause?
This is a permanent removal of the Sarris Invasion feature and its related Fatu-Krey events. There are no plans to bring Sarris Invasions back.
What happens to Sarris Invasion packs?
- The only packs linked to this feature are in the webstore.
- These Directive packs will no longer run once Sarris Invasions are removed and the exchange period has concluded.
How will I source the NSEA Protector if I do not currently have it?
The NSEA Protector will continue to be available in the Ferengi Pass Store as a primary source. We are also reviewing additional sourcing options as part of our ongoing updates to events and progression, and will share more details in future communications once those plans are finalized.
How can I unlock the Salt Shaker Hailing Frequency?
We know many Commanders are interested in the Salt Shaker Hailing Frequency, and we are currently exploring options to make it more accessible in the future. Once a final sourcing plan is confirmed, we will share details in a dedicated follow up communication.
Is there any compensation for losing the feature?
Yes. To recognize the time and effort many of you put into Sarris Invasions, on December 3rd we are sending a one time gift to all eligible Commanders Ops 25-41 and Ops 42+ via the in game Gifts Tab.
This gift will contain:
Ops 25-41
- 10 Gwen Demarco shards
- 10k Officer Depot Tokens
Ops 42+
- 10 Gwen Demarco shards
- 1200 Galactic Acclaim
Sarris Invasions not living up to expectations is part of the broader feedback we have heard on events and rewards. Retiring it and cleaning up its currencies is one step in a larger shift toward clearer, more intentional content that respects your time, supports progression, and feels worth engaging with.
